Slava Alekseev is a former professional hockey player from Magnitogorsk, Russia, and a two-time Junior National Champion of Russia. Before transitioning into coaching, Slava played four seasons in the Junior Hockey League (MHL) with SKA-1946 St. Petersburg and one season in the Russian second professional league (VHL) with SKA-Neva.
Slava began his hockey journey in his hometown of Magnitogorsk, where he developed through the local hockey system before moving to SKA Variagi Academy at age 15. After two seasons there, he signed his first professional contract with SKA St. Petersburg at the age of 17, where he competed at the highest junior level and later earned a promotion to the professional ranks with SKA-Neva.
Following his playing career, Slava turned his full attention to coaching—a path fueled by his passion for player development, mentorship, and helping young athletes grow both on and off the ice.
Outside of hockey, Slava enjoys live and electronic music, tea, and spending time outdoors staying active.
