Resident Advisor
Samantha joins our academy as a Resident Advisor, bringing a strong background in education and youth mentorship to support our student-athletes both on and off the ice.
Currently completing her senior year at UC Berkeley studying biology, Samantha also holds an Associate’s degree in biology from Sierra College. This spring, she will earn the California Naturalist Certificate through a collaborative program between UC Davis and Lake Tahoe Community College, further deepening her expertise in environmental science and outdoor education.
Prior to joining the academy, Samantha worked as a literacy mentor through the UC Berkeley Public Service Center, helping elementary and middle school students develop critical reading and learning skills. This experience fostered a passion for working with young people and supporting them through important developmental stages—skills that translate naturally to the residential environment at our academy.
Outside of work and academics, Samantha is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys skiing, paddleboarding, and birdwatching. This love for nature and active recreation creates common ground with our student-athletes and reinforces the importance of balance, wellness, and finding joy beyond the rink.
Samantha is excited to help create a supportive residential community where players can thrive academically, athletically, and personally as they pursue their hockey dreams.
