Strength and Conditioning Coach/U16 Asst. Coach

A native of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, Jordan Miller serves as the Assistant Coach for the Tahoe Hockey Academy 16U team. Additionally, Jordan serves as the Head Strength Conditioning Coach for the Tahoe Hockey Academy drawing on his extensive training background with Rusnock Sports Performance and Fitness, an elite training program and facility located in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. 

Jordan’s hockey experience spans over 30 years as an athlete and coach. His playing career includes time with the Tier 1 AAA Penguins, Junior Penguins, Junior Chiefs, and NCAA Division III Collegiate Hockey play. During his time playing AAA and Junior Hockey, Jordan enjoyed the opportunity to play all over the United States and Internationally, to include Canada and Sweden. During his time playing Collegiate Hockey he accumulated 99 points in 61 games played to include 49 Goals and 50 assists. 

Jordan served in the United States Army Reserve as a Military Police Officer while attending College and playing College hockey. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and minors in Criminal Justice and Communication earning Dean’s List acknowledgements during his student/athlete journey. 

Upon graduating College, Jordan began a career in Law Enforcement that spanned over 16 years. He started his Law Enforcement Career with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office where he received multiple commendations and played on the LASO hockey team. He helped the LASO hockey team earn Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in the Western Police and Fire Olympics. Jordan’s Law Enforcement career includes time served as an Officer in the States of California and Pennsylvania. His career is highlighted by time served on the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office Drug Task Force, FBI Safe Streets Task Force, serving as a Field Training Officer, and Lead Use of Force Defensive Tactics Instructor. He attended the Gracie Jiu Jitsu University in Los Angeles, California earning Level 2 Certification to instruct Use of Force and Defensive Tactics. 

Jordan’s coaching experience includes time with the Santa Rosa Hockey Club in Santa Rosa, California. He participated in the Intro to Hockey program and still serves as an Assistant Coach for the Mites 8U team. Additionally, Jordan participated in the Santa Rosa Growlers Youth Development Clinic. 

Jordan’s Collegiate and global playing experience, achievements as a player, strength and conditioning background, and diverse Law Enforcement experience, make him a valuable asset to our Tahoe Hockey Academy teams.  

Off the ice, Jordan enjoys spending time outdoors and time with his children, Maddie and Bowen.
