OUR ATHLETICS
A development model designed around your development.
Program Structure
Tahoe Hockey Academy emphasizes individual player growth and development while providing significant improvement through testing, assessments, and the accumulation of quantifiable data.
We encourage each student-athlete to become an active participant in their overall development and offer a support system inclusive of a head coach, position coach, strength and conditioning coach, teachers, and more to aid in the developmental process.
- An individual hockey skill developmental plan
- Quarterly individual periodization plans
- An individual position periodization plan
- An athletic and Academy personal development plan
Junior Hockey Preparatory
Tahoe Hockey Academy understands that the path to college hockey will generally go through Juniors. Our development program is structured so our student-athletes understand the fundamental requirements necessary to be successful both on and off the ice at the Junior level.
At THA our student-athletes not only train to refine their game, but they are also expected to maintain the proper character, respect, academic success, and mental and physical toughness to complete their personal and athletic development.
Tracking Growth and Development
By partnering with some of the leading companies in their respective fields, we take the guesswork out of determining growth and progress. Whether in the gym or on the ice, our student-athletes get to see their development and success through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:
- Position-specific statistics
- Individual skill assessments
- Mental Performance evaluations
- Self Assessment surveys
- Game day evaluations
- Practice and Game tapes
- Strength & conditioning goals
- Academic progress
