The Tahoe Prep Academy is an innovative way to incorporate the pursuit of higher academics along with a detailed approach to hockey development. We are the first California school to house a higher level of scholastic and athletic training all under the same roof. We have partnered with some of the top professionals and industries in their field to provide a cutting-edge experience in both the classroom and on the ice.
Our focus is academic and athletic excellence where the student athlete can progress to higher levels of education with the skills necessary to succeed. Our goal is to encourage, to support and partner with our students to develop their mental, physical, athletic and scholastic development.
Tahoe Prep Academy is committed to making our education accessible to all qualified students and families, regardless of their financial means. Our Scholarship Awards are based on financial need, academic achievement, character, leadership, talent, and other criteria. THA will award over $300,000 annually in tuition assistance. More than 45 percent of students who will attend Tahoe Hockey Academy will probably receive some level of financial support for our academy.
Many middle and upper-income families simply assume they will not qualify and forego the application process. We encourage all families to please apply and allow the Board of Directors the opportunity to review your application.
The scholarship & financial aid applications for the 2017-2018 school year are now available! All families are encouraged to apply early in the process as aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Initial award letters will be sent to applicants in June. Even if you have missed our May 30th deadline, families are still encouraged to apply for financial aid by submitting a financial aid application to the school.
